Report on Volunteer Engagement's Impact on the Library's Strategic Plan - Tigard OR
To get your volunteer engagement program more visibility with staff and management, and to demonstrate it's importance to the library's success, it's really important to have volunteer engagement identified in the Library’s strategic plan . . . Unfortunately, I hear from many of you that this is not an opportunity that is provided to you by management . . . SO, WE NEED TO TAKE MATTERS INTO OUR OWN HANDS – and this is the BEST approach I’ve seen to date. Becca, Volunteer Coordinator at the Tigard Public Library in Oregon, produces her quarterly reports by using the exact language in the Strategic Plan to identify how she and the volunteers have addressed the Library’s Strategic Plan Priorities, Goals, and Objectives! I am so grateful to her for sharing one of her quarterly Powerpoint reports – Take a look and see how you could make use of some of her terrific ideas! Quarterly? Annually?
