Power, Privilege, and Volunteerism

Volunteerism can reinforce patterns of power and privilege (whites and people of means as volunteers, and communities of color or those without means as recipients) if we are not thoughtful about its design. This article is worth a look to help avoid creating barriers to volunteer engagement.
